GENESEE HILL KITCHEN
Perched atop West Seattle, with commanding views of the Puget Sound, this traditional 1950s midcentury home underwent a kitchen revitalization to offer enhanced vistas of the water and a highly functional family gathering space. New thermally broken aluminum windows were installed to replace the original single-pane windows, all while preserving the distinctive midcentury modern corner window details. A straightforward material palette featuring rift-sawn white oak cabinets, complemented by neutral counter and wall tile, contributes to a sleek and hardworking aesthetic for this pivotal area of the house.
